Deceleration Through Impact
What is actually happening
The club is slowing down as it reaches the ball — the swing peaks too early or the body stalls, so impact happens while everything is shutting down.
What it costs you
A decelerating club is an unstable club: the face rotates unpredictably, strike quality collapses, and short shots come up short or get chunked.
Make the loudest part of the swing happen AFTER the ball — swing to the finish, not to impact.
Whoosh Drill
Flip a club upside down and hold the head end. Make swings trying to make the loudest "whoosh" past the lead leg — not at the bottom of the arc. Ten swings, then hit balls with the same intent of accelerating through to a full finish.
