Loss of Posture
What is actually happening
The forward tilt you set at address is changing mid-swing — you are standing taller (or dropping lower) through the downswing than you were at setup.
What it costs you
Every degree of posture change has to be re-timed with the hands to find the ball. That is why contact wanders across the face — heel, toe, thin, fat — even when the swing "feels" the same.
Keep your chest pointing at the ball until your trail arm straightens after impact.
Club-Behind-Spine Check
Hold a club along your spine — one end at your tailbone, one at the back of your head. Hinge into your golf posture and rehearse slow backswings and downswings keeping both contact points. This calibrates what constant spine tilt actually feels like. Two minutes daily.
